The Italian Sustainability Photo Award (ISPA) is a photographic competition created in 2019 with a view to raising public awareness in Italy with regards to sustainability: specifically, environmental, social and governance sustainability. Guided by the ESG – Environmental, Social, Governance – standards, the inspiration for ISPA came from the meeting of two different bodies: Parallelozero – agency and ISPA Organizer – and PIMCO - leader in investment management and ISPA Main Sponsor.
Parallelozero is an agency that has been producing and telling great stories for more than ten years. Thanks to its team of professionals – photographers, journalists, videomakers, directors, graphic artists, art directors
and strategists – every day it transforms creative ideas into visual content and multimedial narrative product. This is both for traditional magazine publishing and corporate communication.

The United Nations Global Compact is a global movement for the promotion of sustainable development, and it operates in Italy through the Global Compact Network Italia. Its aim is to promote the UNGC’s 10 Principles at a national level: they include Human Rights, Labour, the Environment
and Anti-Corruption. It also promotes the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the UN’s 2030 Agenda. It does so by working with both companies and non-business organisations in Italy.
Operating from its headquarters in Milan, the Cariplo Foundation supports and promotes projects in the fields of the arts, the environment, scientific and social research.
Since 1991 it has allocated more than €3 billion to some
32,000 philanthropical projects. Every year on average more than a thousand projects worth a total of €150 million are completed.
The Cariverona Foundation’s mission is to be a point of reference in all the sectors in which it operates: promotion and innovation in the social, artistic and cultural fields, education and scientific research. In doing so, it promotes
and supports economic development and cooperation in and around the five Italian cities where it is active, namely Verona, Vicenza, Belluno, Mantua and Ancona, which have a combined population of 3 million.
